BJP declares candidate list for Uttarkand and Punjab Election

BJP has declared 48 seats out 70 in the Uttarkand assembly election with 3 women, 9 from SC and 1 from ST and minority community.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri - Kotdwar;  Ex-CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank - Doiwala; State Unit Chief Bishan Singh Chuphal, : Didihat; and Speaker Harbansh Kapoor from Dehradun Cantt. Prakash Pant (Pithoragarh), Trivendra Singh Rawat (Raipur), Matbar Singh Khandari (Rudraprayag), Madan Kaushik (Hardwar), Vijaya Barthwal (Yamkeshwar), Balwant Singh Bhoryal (Kapkot), and ex-minister Ajay Tamta (Someshwar-SC).
Sitting MLAs who are in the fray this time as well for the BJP are Harbhajan Singh Cheema (Kashipur), Surendra Jeena (Salt), Chandan Ram Das (Bageshwar-SC), Suresh Chand Jain (Roorkee) and Ganesh Joshi (Mussorie).

BJP also declared candidates for 20 of the 23 seats for Punjab Assembly Election. The rest of the seats in a total of 117 will be contested by its main ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The candidate announced today are 2 women while four belong to the Scheduled Caste. Satpal Gosain, - Ludhiana Central,  Madan Mohan Mittal - Anandpur Sahib.  Dinesh Singh (Sujanpur), Anil Joshi (Amritsar North), Chunni Lal Bhagat (Jalandhar West-SC), Manoranjan Kalia (Jalandhar Central), Krishna Dev Bhandari (Jalandhar North), Arunesh Shakker (Mukerian), Amarjit Singh Shahi (Dasuya), Tikshan Sood (Hoshiarpur), Sukhpal Singh Nanu (Firozpur City) and Raj Khurana (Rajpura). The candidates for the two remaining Assembly seats of Amritsar and Phagwara.

Mayawati Statue and Elephants Covered in Uttar Pradesh

The Election Commissioner has ordered to drape all the statues of Mayawati and Elephants which are present in the state during the election time as they depict the election symbol of BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party).

However, the draping process has started with department looking forward, who will take up the responsibility of getting them covered across the state. With Election Commissioner order, Congress and other parties have taken up on Mayawati stating that these statue and parks have come with the money of the people in the state and CBI probe need to be taken up on this.

With BJP being hit by its party members and other parties, by admitting BabuRao Kushwaha into the party.  Finally Kushwaha has decided and written a letter to the party stating to hold his membership process, unless he clears himself from all charges.  Uma Bharathi has also decided for not campaign for the UP election, has she has some back problems and will not be campaigning for the party for few days.  However, it can been seen as she is not happy with the Baburao Kushwaha joining the party.

Election Commission has cancelled the 1st Phase of election in UP schedule on 4th Feb.  The reason for this is a festival of Muslim community falling on the same day and region where 1st Phase is held is dominated by Muslim Community.

The UP Election are on the verge of the biggest political fight between BJP, Congress, BSP, SP and many other parties.  With Election Commissioner making it clear, that there will be no exception or leverage giving to any party during the election.  Serious action will be taken to any of the party to fails to follow the Election conduct.
